Registration Process On Jio Network

Entity Registration on JIo

1. Open the link - https://trueconnect.jio.com/#/ The below show page would appear.

2. Click on Principle Entity and then select New Registration as shown below:

3. In the page shown below, if you have NOT registered with any other operator, select No and proceed

4. In the page that appears, as shown below, fill in the details and upload the documents requested.

5. Once done, click submit and you should receive an acknowledgement as shown below if all the details are correctly entered.

6. Two emails will be received post this, one for the acknowledgement of the registration competition and another one is for successful confirmation of registration. In case there are any concerns with the documentation, then an email with rejection details will be shared, at which point, re-registration is required.

Header Registration Process on Jio

Once Entity registration is done, next step is to register header with access providers as per the procedure below:
1. Login to Trueconnect.jio.com using Principal Entity login credentials
2. Go to SMS headers-> Header SMS Registration

3. Fill the required details such as header type and category. Create the required Header and click on Submit.

4. Submit the request for approval.

5. JIO's Registrar will validate and verify details provided by the Principal Entity.
6. After validating the details the Registrar will approve, register the header on the DLT Platform

7. The Registrar will then communicate successful registration or any discrepancy to the Principal Entity on the registered e-mail and mobile number.

Content Template Registration Process

As per the TRAI regulation for SMS in India, SMS will only be delivered if the SMS Content Template is approved on DLT Platform. Kindly ensure to apply the SMS Content Templates separately for each kind of SMS that you are sending, please follow the below steps:

1. You have to identify the SMS that you are sending, make a list of SMS Templates. Help you to identify and find your SMS Templates, we suggest to login into your Admin account(provided by Edmingle) and go to SMS Setting, there you will find all predefined SMS templates that you use to send to end users

2. Login to TrueConnect.jio.coma> as Principal Entity

3. Go to template -> content template registration

4. Define template type – Promotional/Transactional/Service

5. Select category of content and a registered header. The registered header should be available for selection basis category of content only – numeric for promo and alpha for Others Also keep in scope that in the end state we should allow the same header for all category types.

-> Template Type: Services
-> Consent Type: Implicit/Explicit(Check Edmingle pre-approved Templates list=Click here)
-> Select Header
-> Enter Template Name
-> Template Message Type: Text
-> Enter Template in the Template Message Box, insert variable in place of place-holders and click on Save.

Note: In case using Edmingle default sms Template(recommended), Content Type will be Service Implicit/Explicit, you only need include to Your Brand Name in the Template while applying for New Content Template

6. Submit template for approval

7. JIO's Registrar will validate and verify details provided by the Principal Entity

8. On successful registration,the Registrar will approve and register content template ID on DLT platform

9. The registrar will communicate successful registration or any discrepancy in case of incorrect details with the applicant on the registered e-mail and mobile number.

Updating Approved Content Templates in the Edmingle

Once all the required SMS Template is approved, just go to your Admin account(provided by Edmingle) and update the Template ID against the action under SMS Settings
Check these steps, here we are using the Airtel DLT platform for demonstration purposes.

1. Login to DLT Platform using Principal Entity login credentials
Kindly login to the DLT Platform where you have registered your Organisation or Entity.

2. Go to the Content Template Section.
Kindly go to the Content Template Section not the Consent Template Section.

3. Filter out all the approved Templates and Download/export them.

4. Now come to the SMS setting on your Edmingle Admin account and click on Edit Template.

5. Enter DLT Template ID of the respective Template and then enter approved Template, after pasting the content replace variables with the placeholders.

Note: While pasting content, do not enter any additional character which is not the pat of approved template and avoid spaces.

** Send Templates ID and Templates separately to Edmingle support to update approved in your account for below mentioned Approved Templates, Edmingle team will update these Templates from backend- Click here to raise request
