How to Mark Attendance in Sessions?


Marking attendance for offline sessions in your organization’s learning platform helps you keep track of who attended in-person training. It ensures that every learner’s participation is recorded properly, even if the session was held offline.


This is important for meeting training requirements, staying compliant, and understanding how engaged your learners are. By adding offline attendance to the platform, all your training records stay in one place and are easy to manage.

Navigation

Navigating to the Sessions section is simple and essential for accessing live or scheduled learning events. By quickly reaching this section, learners can join sessions on time, review upcoming classes, and stay organized throughout their learning journey. Efficient navigation ensures learners spend less time searching and more time focused on their courses.


Carefully follow the instructions below to learn how you can efficiently navigate to the “Sessions” section in your organization’s learning platform.


Step 1: Navigate to the panel on the right side of the screen, then click on the “Course Delivery” dropdown to unwrap it and click on the “Sessions” option.



Step 2: A new window will open, choose the “+ Schedule Session” option from the left sidebar of the screen.



Marking Offline Attendance

You can mark attendance for offline sessions to keep track of the learners who attended the training. It further helps to make sure that all learning is recorded in one place. This is important for reviewing employee progress, meeting training goals, and creating accurate reports.


Carefully follow the instructions below that will guide you on how to efficiently mark offline attendance in your organization’s learning platform.


Step 1: Fill in all the necessary fields and click on the “Offline Session” radio button under the “Mode of Conducting” heading.


FIelds

Description

Session Name

Enter the session title (up to 100 characters).

Session Timings

Select the session's date, start time, and end time.

Instructor

Choose the instructor from the dropdown list.

Mode of Conducting

Select that the session will be conducted offline. In this document, we have selected the offline session mode.

Notifications Tick Buttons

Tick the checkboxes to send notifications immediately and set reminders.

Topics Text Box

Type the topics or agenda to be covered in the session (max 250 characters).

Class Feedback Form” Toggle and Dropdown

Turn on the toggle to enable class feedback and choose a feedback form from the dropdown.

Session Type Radio Buttons

Choose how to schedule the session—either by batch or by subject.

Batches” Dropdown Button

Select the relevant batch or batches from the dropdown.

View Calendar” Button

Click this button to view the calendar and check scheduled sessions.

Save Session” Button

Click this button to save the session and finalize the setup.



Step 2: After filling in all the necessary fields, click on the “Save Session” button to save the session and mark the attendance as present or absent.



Step 3: After clicking on the “Save Session” button, a success message will appear at the top of the screen.



Step 4: After successfully creating a session, here is how it will appear to you.



Step 5: Click on the “Sign In” button to access the class details.



Step 6: A confirmation message box will appear in the middle of the screen. Click on the “Sign In” button to confirm your decision to sign up for the class.



Step 7: A new window will open in the center of the screen in which you need to choose a correct sign-in for the class and click on the “Sign In Now” button.



Step 8: A new screen will open on the screen. Click on the status dropdown to unwrap it, then click on a particular attendance status for a particular learner.



Step 9: To change the attendance status of multiple learners at the same time, select the specific learners.



Step 10: Click on the “Bulk Update Status” dropdown to unwrap it and click on a specific status to update the learners’ status for the specific offline class.
