How to manage GST Settings?

Managing GST (Goods and Services Tax) settings within your platform is crucial to ensure compliance with tax regulations and provide accurate billing for your learners. By configuring GST settings correctly, you can automate tax calculations, generate proper invoices, and streamline financial reporting. To access the GST Settings in LMS, Go to Settings and click GST Settings.

GST Settings

The GST (Goods and Services Tax) settings allow you to enable tax billing for courses and ensure that all invoices generated are compliant with government tax regulations. By configuring these settings, you can automate GST calculations, include tax details in invoices, and maintain transparency for learners.

How to Enable GST Settings

  1. Enable Tax System

    • Toggle the switch Enable tax system to activate GST billing for your courses.

    • Once enabled, the platform will apply the configured GST rates to course payments.

  2. GST Number

    • Enter your institution’s GST Number in the provided field.

    • This number will appear on invoices and help maintain compliance.

  3. State

    • Select the State in which your organization is registered.

    • This determines whether CGST & SGST (for intra-state transactions) or IGST (for inter-state transactions) is applied.

  4. PAN Number

    • Enter your organization’s PAN (Permanent Account Number) to ensure accurate tax identification.

  5. CGST (Central GST)

    • Enter the applicable percentage of CGST that should be applied for intra-state transactions.

  6. SGST (State GST)

    • Enter the applicable percentage of SGST that should be applied for intra-state transactions.

  7. IGST (Integrated GST)

    • Enter the applicable percentage of IGST that should be applied for inter-state transactions.



Example Use Case

  • If your branch and the learner are in the same state, both CGST + SGST will apply.

  • If your branch and the learner are in different states, IGST will apply automatically.
