How to Manage Live Class Recordings?


Managing live class recordings in your online learning platform helps learners who missed a class or want to review it later. When recordings are organized properly, it becomes easier for everyone to find and watch the right session. This also helps learners learn at their own pace and from anywhere, even if they are in a different time zone.


Giving clear names to each recording avoids confusion and saves time. Furthermore, it helps trainers keep track of what has been covered as well. By managing recordings well, you can make sure the platform stays clean, useful, and easy to use for both learners and trainers.

Prerequisite

Before proceeding, please read the “How to Add Session to Calendar?” document. It provides the necessary steps for setting up your course structure, which is required before archiving a batch.

Navigation

The “Live Class Recordings” section is where you can find videos of past classes. Navigating to this section helps you watch any class you missed or review a topic you didn’t understand. This way, you can learn better and keep up with your lessons at your own pace.

Navigate to the panel on the right side of the screen, then click on the “Course Delivery” to unwrap it, then click on the “Live Class Recordings” option from the sidebar.


Live Class Recordings View

Live class recordings are videos of the online classes that are available after the class ends. They help learners watch the session again whenever they want, so they can catch up on anything they might have missed or review difficult topics.

Check the box to select a single recording for batch actions.

A serial number is assigned to each recording.

Class Name

The name of the class for which the recording is associated.

Batches

Shows the batch(s) linked to the recording.

Instructor

Name of the instructor leading the class.

Status

Displays whether the recording is published or in another state.

Actions

Shows the options available for the recording (e.g., unpublish & delete).

Shows the options available for the recording (e.g., unpublish and download).



Unpublish & Delete Multiple Classes

Unpublishing and deleting multiple classes lets you hide or remove several classes at once, making it easier to manage your course content. This feature is helpful when you need to quickly update or remove sessions that are no longer needed, saving you time and effort.


Carefully follow the instructions below that will guide you on how to efficiently unpublish and delete multiple classes in your organization’s learning platform.


Step 1: Select the classes you want to delete.



Step 2: Click on the “Actions” dropdown and select the “Unpublish and Delete” option.



Step 3: Click on the “Delete” button in the confirmation box.


WarningDeleting a video can not be restored. Please perform this cautiously. 

Unpublish a Session Recording

Unpublishing a class makes it temporarily unavailable to learners. This is helpful when you need to update the content or make changes before the class is ready for learners to access again.


Carefully follow the instructions below that will guide you on how to efficiently unpublish a class in your organization’s learning platform.


Click on the 3-dot action icon and click on the “Unpublish” option.



Note: After clicking on the “Unpublish” option, a success message will appear on the top of the screen.


Download a Session Recording

Downloading a class lets you save session materials to your device for offline access. This helps review content whenever you need it, even without an internet connection.

Step 1: Click on the 3-dot action icon and click on the “Download” option.



Step 2: Click on the “Download” button again in the confirmation box.


Upload and Replace a Session Recording

Uploading and replacing a class recording lets you update the content with the latest version. This ensures that learners have the most accurate and up-to-date materials to review.


Carefully follow the instructions below that will guide you on how to efficiently upload and replace a class recording in your organization’s learning platform.


Step 1: Click on the 3-dot action icon and click on the “Upload and Replace” option.




Step 2: Click on the “Upload Video” button, choose a video from your device (.mp4 or .webm file with a maximum of 500 MB size), then click on the “Replace” button.



Note: After clicking on the “Replace” button, a success message will appear on the top of the screen.


Unpublish and Delete a Session Recordings

Unpublishing and deleting a class helps you remove or hide classes that are no longer needed. This keeps your course content organized and makes sure learners don’t have access to outdated sessions.


Carefully follow the instructions below that will guide you on how to efficiently unpublish and delete a class in your organization’s learning platform.


Step 1: Click on the 3-dot action icon and click on the “Unpublish and Delete” option.



Step 2: Click on the “Delete” option in the confirmation box.



Note: After clicking on the “Delete” option, a success message will appear on the top of the screen.
