Integrating SMS into your LMS ensures that learners receive instant updates and reminders directly on their mobile devices, making communication faster and more reliable than email alone. From class reminders and assignment alerts to payment notifications and important announcements, SMS keeps learners engaged and informed in real time. This not only improves attendance and participation but also enhances overall learner experience by ensuring they never miss critical information. For educators and administrators, SMS integration adds a powerful communication channel that supports higher engagement, stronger accountability, and smoother course management.
Through this documentation, we will guide you on how you can enable SMS in your LMS.Let’s get started 🚀
Navigation
To access powerful tools that connect your learning platform with other apps and services, you need to navigate to the “Integration” section.
Hence, this makes it easier to manage courses and automate tasks. Integrating these tools helps personalize learning, streamline your workflow, and ensures all your important data stays connected in one place.
Carefully follow the instructions below that will guide you on how to navigate to the “Integration” section in your organization’s learning platform.
Step 1: Click on the “Settings” dropdown to unwrap it, then click on the “Integration” option.

Step 2: Click on the “Notifications” option to start the integration of SMS.
To get started, you will need to create your own Header and PEID (Principal Entity ID). This is a mandatory requirement as per TRAI regulations to ensure secure and verified SMS communication. Several telecom providers such as Airtel, Jio, and Vi offer this service and can assist you in completing the registration process. Once your Header and PEID are approved, you’ll be able to send SMS through your LMS using verified routes, ensuring higher deliverability and compliance with DLT guidelines. We recommend reaching out to your chosen provider directly to understand their registration process, timelines, and associated charges.

Carefully follow the instructions that will guide you on how you can efficiently enable the email automation in your organization’s learning platform:
Step 1: Click on the “Settings” dropdown to unwrap it, then click on the “Integration” option.
Step 2: Go to ‘Notifications’ and under the ‘Notifications – SMS’ section, click on the ‘Manage’ button in Edmingle SMS.

Step 3: After clicking on the manage, you can enter the header in the SMS Mask.

Step 3: Raise a ticket to Support team of Edmingle
Once you’ve completed the above steps, please raise a ticket at support@edmingle.com . Our team will register your header in the system, after which your SMS messages will start getting delivered to your learners.Step 4: PE-TM Chain Linking
PE–TM (Principal Entity – Telemarketer) chain linking is done to establish a verified and traceable connection between the entity sending the SMS (the business/organization) and the telemarketer (the SMS service provider) under the TRAI DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) regulations in India. Since the SMS triggered on Edmingle are routed via MGS91, you have to add our Vendor MGS91 as Telemarketer since we directly submit your SMSs to Telecom Operators like Airtel, Jio, Vi.
What You Need to Do:
To verify your account, please follow these simple steps:
- Login to your DLT portal
- Go to PE-TM Chain section
- Go to New Chain / New Request
Add our SMS Provider "Walkover Web Solutions Pvt. Ltd" (TM Id- 1302157225275643280) and "Walkover Technologies Pvt. Ltd" (TM Id- 1702172430965597485) as Telemarketers.
- Once approved by MSG91, you will again get approval request on DLT portal for the final PE-TM Chain and you have to approve the same.
Here are the help docs of DLT portals:
