Campaigns is a native marketing automation tool built into Edmingle that enables you to run multi-channel learner outreach—via WhatsApp, Email, SMS, and Push Notifications—directly from your LMS dashboard.

Designed for education businesses, Campaigns allows you to reach signed-up or enrolled learners using intelligent filters and pre-approved messaging templates, eliminating the need for third-party CRMs, marketing platforms, or external data exports.

Campaigns is a native tool inside Edmingle that lets you run multi-channel outreach—WhatsApp, Email, SMS & Push—using learner data and filters. No need for extra CRMs, marketing tools, or imports.

Why Use Campaigns?

Notes
Prerequisites before setting up campaigns: 
  1. Please ensure you have System Notifications enabled in the platform. (Settings > System Notifications)
  2. Please Ensure you have sufficient Wallet Credits available in your account. To know more about Wallet Credits, please refer this document

The following channels are available to send the campaigns: 
  1. Email
  2. SMS  (via MSG91 Integration - Please ensure that your SMS templates are approved by DLT in the MSG91 Account)
  3. WhatsApp Notifications (via AiSensy Pro Integration - Please ensure that your WA templates are approved in AiSensy Account)
  4. Push Notifications (via Edmingle Applications)

Note: Before sending messages, you must activate each channel you intend to use. Follow the setup instructions specific to each: 
    1. Activate WhatsApp via AiSensy
    2. Configure Email Channel

    3. Enable SMS Notifications

    4. Setup Push Notifications (Apply for Andriod & iOS applications, if applicable)


Please note that Campaigns can be sent to only the Signed up or Enrolled Learners
  1. Go to your Edmingle Admin Dashboard

  2. From the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Marketing

  3. Click on Campaigns

This will open the Campaigns dashboard, where you can view past campaigns, their performance, and create new ones.


How to Create a New Campaign

Creating a campaign in Edmingle follows a guided 3-step process:

Step 1: Enter Basic Campaign Details

  1. Navigate to Marketing → Campaigns

  2. Click Create New Campaign

  3. Fill in the following fields:

    • Campaign Name (e.g., "Webinar Registration Drive")

    • Select Channels (WhatsApp, Email, SMS, Push)

    • Set Delivery Time:

      • Send Immediately - to send the campaigns immediately

      • Schedule for Later (choose date and time) - to send at a future date. 


Step 2: Select Your Target Audience

Edmingle supports three methods of targeting learners:

  • Manual Selection: Search and filter by learner name or email by course or batch. 

  • Segment Selection: Use pre-created segments based on learner behavior, course progress, or other filters. To know more about segments, click on this help documentation

  • CSV Upload: Upload a .csv file with learner data (phone number or email required)

Note: Push campaigns support all three audience types. WhatsApp and Email campaigns may have additional template compliance requirements.

Step 3: Build & Test Your Campaign

Create or Select a Template. For more information on creating and managing templates, please refer this document

For each channel, you must select or create a message template:

  • Click Create Template

  • Fill in:

    • Template Name (internal reference)

    • Title (for push/email, shows as subject or notification header)

    • Body (message content, can include placeholders like {{learner_name}} or {{course_name}}

You can also see a real-time preview of the campaign which will be visible to the learners on the right-side pane.

Preview and Test

  • Use the live preview to see how your message will appear

  • Add a test number/email to send a sample message

  • Once satisfied, click Go Live

  • Confirm your campaign submission


Campaigns Dashboard & Performance Tracking

After launching your campaign, you can track performance in the Campaigns dashboard. Key data includes:

  • Campaign status: Draft, Scheduled, Sent

  • Delivery metrics: Sent, Delivered, Opened (channel-dependent)

  • Audience insights: Track which learners received, opened, or interacted

  • Export: Download recipient-level reports for deeper analysis
