Overview: What is the Utility Wallet?

The Utility Wallet is a new feature designed to give you greater visibility and control over services like notifications that are chargeable and usage-based. With this launch, you can now manage your credit balance for services like We're launching this wallet with INR 1000 worth of FREE credits for Indian customers and $20 for international customers.

Important: Actual deductions from the wallet will only begin on August 4th, 2025. This ensures there are no surprises and gives you time to explore the wallet and track usage comfortably

Why This Change?

As your training operations scale, so does the need to send communications reliably across channels like SMS, WhatsApp, Email, and Push. These channels come with variable costs, especially for high-volume, bulk actions.

So far, Edmingle covered all types of notifications, but to ensure long-term sustainability and support powerful features like Campaigns and Workflows, we're introducing this usage-based model — while still keeping essential learner-triggered notifications free.

This model gives you:

• Fairness: You only pay as per usage.

• Control: You can monitor and manage your spend in real-time.

• Flexibility: Choose the channels and campaigns that matter most.

Which Notifications Use the Wallet?

How to Access the Utility Wallet

You can reach the Utility Wallet screen from your dashboard:

• Click the Wallet Icon, on the top right (next to 'Schedule session')

• Or navigate Main Menu > Settings > Utility Wallet

Tracking Your Usage

From the Utility Wallet page, you can:

• View current balance for each wallet category

• Check detailed logs of each notification sent (date, type, channel, cost)

• Apply filters by date, channel or credit type

Analyzing this report will help you estimate how much balance to maintain based on your actual communication volume.

How to Recharge Your Wallet

Click on "Recharge Now" from the wallet section.

• Enter amount and proceed to pay

• GST/Tax will be applied as per standard rules

Note: Wallet credits are non-refundable, so recharge based on expected usage.

Example: How Credits Are Used

Let’s say you send a session reminder to 100 learners:

• If each email costs ₹0.08

• Total cost = ₹8.00 (100 x 0.08)

• This amount is automatically deducted from your Notification Wallet

You can see the deduction and purpose clearly in the Wallet Ledger.

Notifications & Warnings

We’ll ensure you’re always in control:

• Low wallet balance? You’ll get email reminders.

• Real-time alerts on the dashboard if wallet is running low.

Important: Keep Your Wallet Funded

If your wallet balance reaches zero, the notifications where the utility wallet balance is required and campaigns will not be delivered. Make sure to top-up based on your expected communication volume to ensure smooth operation.
