How to Create SMS Campaigns  

Edmingle allows you to send SMS campaigns through integrated providers like MSG91. Use this channel for important alerts, quick reminders, or feature announcements. Before starting, make sure your SMS gateway (e.g., MSG91) is connected.

📲 SMS campaigns are billed based on your DLT and SMS provider plan. Charges are not handled by Edmingle.

Step 1: Connect SMS Integration

1. Go to
   Settings → Integrations → Notifications tab
   Integration

2. Scroll to the SMS section

3. Click Connect on your preferred provider (e.g., MSG91)

4. Fill in the required fields:
   
   

• Integration Name (e.g., Promotional Edmingle)

• Auth Key
  

• Sender ID has to be in 6 characters.

• Entity ID (as per DLT registration)
  
  

5. Click Save
   
   
   Set up Promotional Integration

Once done, this integration will be available when creating your SMS campaign and templates.

Step 2: Enter Basic Campaign Details

1. Go to Marketing → Campaigns

2. Click Create New Campaign

3. Enter a Campaign Name (e.g., SMS Launch)

4. Select SMS as the channel (alongside others like WhatsApp, Email, or Push if needed)

5. Choose Delivery Time:

• Immediately

• Or set a Specific Time
  for scheduling

Step 3: Select Your Target Audience

You can target learners through three methods:

• Select Learners Manually

• Select a Segment (based on events, batches, etc.)

• Upload CSV
  (bulk upload)
  
  Select Audience

Select or Create a Template

In Step 3 – Build & Test, SMS messages require a template with a valid DLT Template ID.

To use an existing one:

• Select your Template from the dropdown

• Ensure the associated DLT Template ID
  is present
  Select a template

To create a new SMS template:

1. Click Create Template
   Fill in:
   
   

• Template Name (for internal reference)

• Integration (choose your SMS account like MSG91)

• DLT Template ID (mandatory per TRAI guidelines)

• Message Body – Enter the full text of the message
  (Placeholders can be added for personalization.)

🧠 The number of SMS segments may vary based on message length and placeholder values.

Test & Go Live

1. Enter your own mobile number under Test Your Campaign

2. Click Test to preview how the SMS will appear

3. Click Go Live

4. Confirm in the popup

 🔒 Campaigns cannot be edited once submitted
