How to add curriculum to the course?

Once you’ve created your course, you can build a comprehensive curriculum by adding sections, modules, video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and certification criteria. Adding a curriculum to your course is an important step in organizing the learning for your learners. It shows the order of topics, lessons, and modules, making it easy to follow from simple ideas to more advanced ones.

Through this documentation, we will explain the process of adding a curriculum to the course, making it easier for all learners to access and stay engaged.

Let’s get started 🚀

The Curriculum Section is where you can find all your course lessons and see what you need to learn. By going to this section, you can keep track of your progress and understand how the course is organized. This helps you plan your study time better and learn step by step.

Alert

Carefully follow the instructions below to navigate to the “Courses” section in your organization’s learning platform.

Step 1: Click on the “Course” into which you want to add a curriculum.

Step 2: Go to the “Curriculum” tab.

Step 3: Click on the "+ Add Curriculum" button to create a new curriculum.

Step 4: A panel will appear on the right side of the screen, where you can add a curriculum for the course by selecting from any of the following two options:

  • Option I: Create from Scratch

  • Option II: Use from Another Course

Option I: Create from Scratch

This option allows you to start creating a curriculum without using a template. Select this option and enter the “
Curriculum name” for your course.

Option II: Use from Another Course

This option lets you use an existing curriculum that has already been applied to a different course.

Note: You can also select and use multiple curriculum from other courses.

Once you have selected the preferred option, click on the “Create Curriculum” button.

This will successfully create a new curriculum for your course.

Remove the Curriculum

Removing the curriculum from a course allows you to simplify or update its structure by eliminating outdated or irrelevant content. On the other hand, adding a curriculum is essential to provide a clear, organized learning path that guides learners through the course material effectively and ensures comprehensive coverage of key topics.

Alert

Follow the instructions below to learn more about how you can remove a particular curriculum.

If you want to delete a curriculum that you no longer need, click on the three-dot () icon on the right side of the curriculum you selected from the curriculum list, then click on the “Remove” option.

Curriculum Window

  1. Clone Section: This button allows you to duplicate an existing section. It's useful when you need a similar structure across multiple sections without manually recreating it.

  1. Rearrange Sections: Clicking this button enables you to reorder the sections within your curriculum. This helps structure the content logically or make adjustments after adding multiple sections.

  1. Add Section (Blue Button): This button lets you create a new section in the curriculum. Sections serve as the primary building blocks for organizing learning materials, such as lectures, assignments, or resources.
